If you know me, you know that I taught English in Lithuania in 2013. It was the best experience of my life! I taught through International Language Programs which is an excellent program if you are interested in living abroad. They have teaching and orphanage programs so give them a look! Since I previously taught, I have now been given the privelage of returning as a head teacher. I will be some type of supervisor/guide/instructor to my group of teachers. Also, an excellent benefit to this is.....IT'S FREE! Yes. That is no typo. I paid $2500 in full (due to a TON of help and donations from friends and family) so this time it is free! The only money I will need to bring is for extra activities, extra food, travelling, etc. My flight, daily meals & housing will be all paid for. Isn't that so excellent? :) And even more exciting, after my semester in Kaunas, I get to go back to Vilnius! I'll go home for a couple weeks for Christmas holidays and then jump on a plane and head to my favorite favorite place :) I miss it so so much. And even better, my best pal Amy and her friend Becca will be joining me! I am excited to show themeverything and share my love for that place with good friends.
Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania, after Vilnius. It's about an hour away from Vilnius, so I will be close to home and can visit anytime by train :) When I was in Vilnius before, I never even visited Kaunas. We passed through it one time and went to a mall. I wish I would have actually visited it though. It's soooo beautiful and charming, don't you think?
